Old Dominion University's Filipino American Cultural Center presents two showings of "Disoriented" Wednesday, April 6.

The film is directed by Francisco Aliwalas, a 30-year-old who has been both a filmmaker and producer while running his own production company for five years. Aliwalas plays the character West, an Asian-American boy who is caught between two worlds. The film focuses on West's struggles growing up as an Asian American and finding an identity that both he and the rest of the world can abide.

A 10 a.m. showing of the film will be in the Newport News Room in Webb University Center and the 6 p.m. showing will be at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center on Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. There will be a director's reception at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in the Filipino American Cultural Center.
