FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY DINNER IS APRIL 12

The Friends of the Library Author Dinner, featuring John A. Adam, university professor and professor of mathematics, will be Tuesday, April 12, in the Hampton/Newport News rooms in Webb University Center.

A reception starts at 6 p.m. and dinner and the program -- titled "Innumeracy: A Light-Hearted Look At A Serious Problem" -- follows at 6:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Library Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented to Karl H. Schoenbach, eminent scholar and director of the Center for Bioelectrics.

Admission is $25 per person; $20 per person for Life Members.
