Junior forward Valdas Vasylius shot two free throws with 1.5 seconds left on the clock in the last seconds of last night's game, giving Old Dominion Monarchs a 70-66 win over Manhattan in the NIT 2nd round at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. The Monarchs will now face CAA rival Hofstra on Wednesday in Hempstead, NY in the NIT quarterfinals.

Senior forward Alex Loughton scored a game-high 20 points in his last home game as a Monarch. Along with his 20 points, Loughton added nine rebounds and converted ten of 12 free throws. He now ranks 10th all-time on ODU's career scoring list with 1636, and 8th in rebounds with 936.

The quarterfinal with Hofstra will take place at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN2. Fans that want to attend the game are advised to call the Hofstra ticket office for more information at 516-463-8499.
