CONCERT TO HIGHLIGHT NEW MUSIC PERFORMANCE COLLECTION

Students from Old Dominion University's music department will perform a selection of original compositions housed in the Diehn Composers Room at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, in Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center Room 189.

The concert, titled "A Taste of Contemporary Music," will present the works of composers Allan Bank, Allen Brings, Greg Brown, Adolphus Hailstork and Vernon Perdue-Davis.

Agnes Mobley-Wynne will direct students Julia Gross, Suzanne McGuire and John Newton in vocal pieces. Ruth McCarthy, Sharon Osborne, Cris Pelause and Howard Williamson will perform instrumentals directed by Michael Murphy.

The event, free and open to the public, is made possible by a grant from the F. Ludwig Diehn Music Fund of the Norfolk Foundation.
