ODU MONARCH TICKETS AVAILABLE; GAME TIMES ANNOUNCED

The Old Dominion Lady Monarchs, winners of the 2005 CAA tournament, have advanced to the NCAA tournament and will play the University of Virginia on Saturday in the first round at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. The ODU Monarchs men's team will open the NCAA tournament on Friday against fifth-seeded Michigan State.

The Monarchs will play at approximately 9:40 p.m. on WTKR-TV (Channel 3 on Cox Cable). The Lady Monarchs will play at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2 (Cox Cable Ch. 60).

A limited number of tickets are available to each participating team in the NCAA tournament.

ODU Big Blue Club members and current season ticket holders will be given first priority for purchasing men's basketball tickets, up to a maximum of four per person, and may place orders via credit card beginning 8 a.m. Monday, March 14, through noon Tuesday, March 15, by calling 683-5484. Priority for tickets and seat location will be based on the current priority point system. If any tickets remain, they would be made available to the general public on Wednesday, March 16. The ODU Athletic Ticket Office is located in the Athletic Administration Building on campus.

For Lady Monarchs tickets, ODU Big Blue Club members and current season ticket holders will be given first priority for purchasing tickets and may place orders via credit card beginning Monday, March 14, at 8 a.m., through Wednesday, March 16 at noon, by calling 683-5484. Seat location is based on the current priority point system.

Fan travel arrangements for both the men's first rround game in Worcester, Mass., against Michigan State on Friday, and the women's first-round NCAA game can be made by contacting CI Travel at 627-8000 beginning Monday, March 14 at noon.
