The ODU Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) initiative will present a seminar, "The New Faculty Experience," from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, in the Rectors' Room of Webb Center.

Experienced faculty members will speak on topics such as, "The Job Search," "Transitioning into a Faculty Position," "Negotiating During Hiring" and "Developing a Plan for Your Career."

Elaine Justice, the associate professor of psychology who chairs the campus' PFF initiative, said the seminar is for graduate students who are interested in teaching. She said the advice offered should help students get jobs and make the most of their first year as faculty members.

The national PFF program is sponsored by the Council of Graduate Schools and the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
