Applications are now available for the International Student Leadership Award for the 2005-2006 academic year.

Eligible student candidates must be attending Old Dominion University for the Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 semesters and have exhibited exceptional academic performance and leadership skills. International student candidates must also meet the following criteria:

· Enrolled as an undergraduate, degree-seeking student
· Completed 12 or more semester hours at ODU
· 3.25 GPA or higher
· Good disciplinary and immigration standing
· Attending on an F or J visa
· Not eligible for in-state tuition rates
· Not receiving an International Student ($8,000) Scholarship

As part of the application, candidates must write an essay on their leadership accomplishments and future goals, and submit a letter of recommendation from one faculty member and one person who has observed their leadership activities.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m., Friday, March 25, to the Office of International Student and Scholar Services, located in the Dragas International Center. Applications can be found online at http://web.odu.edu/webroot/orgs/ao/ip/ip.nsf/pages/isss.
