WRITER-IN-RESIDENCE DISCUSSES HOW-TOS OF PUBLISHING TODAY

Kathleen Brehony, Old Dominion University's writer-in-residents, will share tips on publishing at a lecture Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 4:20 p.m. in room 331, Batten Arts and Letters Building.

She is author of the critically acclaimed "Awakening at Midlife," which was honored as a finalist for the Books for a Better Life Award. PBS produced an hour-long television special, "The Midlife Survival Guide," based on the book.

Brehony's other works include "Ordinary Grace," "Chanting: Discovering Spirit in Sound" and "After the Darkest Hour."

She divides her time between Virginia and Los Angeles.
