Nominations for the Kaufman Honors, given to seniors who have influenced the university, its students and community, are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Office of Student Services.

Landmark Communications Inc. established the Kaufman Prize to honor Charles L.
Kaufman. As many as 10 students will be selected for the honors. The recipient of the prizes will receive $10,000; runners-up, $2,000. The announcement will be made at the Honors and Awards Banquet May 8. Graduates from August, December and May are eligible.

Any faculty, staff, chaplain or alumnus may nominate a student by sending a letter to me with the nomination stating why the nominee is deserving. Each nominee meeting basic eligibility requirements will be contacted at his/her
address and invited to submit an application and supporting materials.
(Nominators may choose to follow up and encourage students to complete the
application process.
