The Association of University Administrators (AUA) seeks nominations for the J. Worth Pickering Administrator of the Year Award.

Letters of nomination should not exceed three pages. Please include specific descriptions/evidence of how your nominee exceeds expectations of an administrator in one or more of the categories above. Nominators are encouraged to provide supporting letters and are responsible for collecting all supporting letters and materials and submitting them to Judy White in 1011 Constant Hall by Sunday, Feb. 20.

Those nominated for this award must be eligible for membership in the AUA. Membership in AUA is open to all persons designated by the university to be full-time or adjunct faculty administrators, faculty professionals, general administrators, general professionals, and bands 4 and above.

If you have doubts as to your nominee's eligibility, please call Humans Resources (3-3042) for clarification.

Criteria include:

SERVICE - Evidence of major contributions that have affected either the campus community or the off-campus community.

EFFECTIVENESS - Evidence of leadership, irrespective of administrative position; advocacy for students and/or staff; contributions to morale; improvements of processes and procedures; motivational, inspirational leadership style.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT - Evidence that the nominee has excelled in teaching, research, presentations, publications, continuing education and/or recognition by professional organizations which benefited the university.

OTHER - Evidence of any outstanding qualities not categorized above.
