WHRV'S "HEARSAY" TO HOST ODU ETHICS PANEL TODAY AT NOON

The radio show "HearSay with Cathy Lewis" today at noon on WHRO-FM 89.5 will include a discussion with three panelists who have been invited to ODU this week to explore ethical and legal issues arising from the war on terror.

The panelists will be among six who will participate in the public seminar, "Fighting the Global War on Terror: Ethical and Legal Issues in the Treatment of Detainees" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in Chandler Recital Hall of ODU's Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center. The program is sponsored by ODU's Institute for Ethics and Public Affairs.

Appearing on the radio show will be William Howard Taft IV, former chief legal advisor to the Department of State; Kristine Huskey, a Washington, D.C., lawyer who has represented detainees at Guantanamo, and Tom Robotham, editor of Port Folio Weekly.
