WORKSHOP EXPLORING WORKPLACE VIOLENCE TO BE HELD FEB. 8-10
Old Dominion University's Center for Global Business and Executive Education will host a three-day workshop on "Violence in the Workplace" 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 8-10, at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center.
The program is geared toward professionals in security, human resources and employee assistance programs in schools and universities, business and industry, health care facilities and other organizations.
It will focus on developing an organized plan to reduce the chance of workplace violence. Participants will learn danger signs to watch for, ways to foster a more positive environment, crisis planning and where to turn for help.
Led by a team of experienced law enforcement specialists, the workshop will cover media issues, terrorism, post-traumatic stress counseling, benevolent work environments and more.
