JOIN THE LADY MONARCHS FOR A "PINK OUT" FEB. 11
The Lady Monarchs are asking their fans to wear pink on Sunday, Feb. 11 when they join forces with the Tidewater affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the annual Hoops for a Cure game against conference rival Delaware at 1 p.m. at the Constant Center.
Tickets sold through the Komen affiliate (online at http://www.komentidewater.org or at 490-7794) will benefit local breast cancer programs. In addition, breast cancer survivors can receive a complimentary ticket to the game and pre-game activities, and are asked to contact the Constant Center group sales office at 683-5000 no later than Feb. 8.
The festivities begin at noon with a pre-game Women's Health Fest in the lobby of the Constant Center, and a survivors reception. The first 500 fans to the game will receive a pink t-shirt in an effort to "paint the arena pink" for the regionally televised contest on Comcast sportsnet.
