MEMORIAL SERVICE MONDAY FOR CAMERON
Craig McNeil Cameron, 46, a professor of military history at Old Dominion University, died Dec. 30, 2004.
A native of Evanston, Ill., Cameron was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, commissioned second lieutenant in May 1980. He served on active duty from 1980 to 1984. He then attended the University of Chicago, where he received his Ph.D. in military history.
In 1990, Craig was offered a professorship at Old Dominion University. He and his wife, Lynn, moved to Norfolk where their two sons, Ian W. Cameron and Alec D. Cameron, were born.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, 1501 Colonial Ave., with Father Daniel Klem of Sacred Heart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to UNICEF or Doctors without Borders.
