Faculty Summer Exchange Program Application

The University of Kitakyushu (Kitakyushu, Japan - on the southern island of Kyushu), a long-time ODU partner, has offered Old Dominion University the opportunity to send one professor to teach American Society/American Culture to their students this summer.  Classes will be conducted sometime August 23 to September 8 (about two weeks).  

The ODU faculty member will teach a 15 contact hour class (3 hours per day for 5 days, or 5 hours per day for 3 days).  Typically, faculty have chosen to teach three hours, per day for 5 days.  Housing will be provided by the University of Kitakyushu.  Airfare will be provided by the Office of International Programs. 

Recent participants in the program include:  Ariel Pinto (2012), David Roh (2011), Victoria Time (2008), Peter Schulman (2007), Lynn Doyle (2006), Joseph Cosco (2005), Jonathan Appel (2004) and Stacey Plichta (2003).  The program is open to full-time faculty from any discipline.
