How Are We Doing?


To Change Your Date or Add Guests to Your Reservation

In order to change your Orientation date, please contact our office at preview@odu.edu or (757)683-3428.

Four days before each Orientation date, we close registration to guests. If you wish to add a guest, after this time, guests will be given the opportunity to register at their student's scheduled Orientation date.

To Cancel Your Reservation or Remove Guests and Obtain a Guest Fee Refund  

Send a refund request to preview@odu.edu or mail it to Student Transition and Family Programs, 1012 Student Success Center at Perry Library, Norfolk, VA, 23529. It must be received at least 4 business days prior to the event. Include your name, University ID Number (UIN), and a reason for the cancellation. If you paid by credit or bank card, it will be credited in 4-6 weeks. If you paid by check, cash or money order, a refund check will arrive in 6-8 weeks.    


Withdrawing from ODU


If you're withdrawing from ODU, you must:

  • Cancel your Preview reservation (see steps above),
  • Notify Admissions,
  • Notify Financial Aid (if you filed for financial aid),
  • Notify Housing and Residence Life (if you applied to live on campus),
  • Drop your classes in Leo Online (if you've already registered).
