How Are We Doing?

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

New undergraduate international students are required to attend 2 orientation programs. One is sponsored by The Office of Intercultural Relations. The other is Preview. This requirement applies to both freshman and transfer international students. In addition, International Student and Scholar Services coordinates the check-in process for you.

International students needing to register for required English language courses must do so before attending an orientation program. International students (freshmen and transfers) who do not pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are also required to attend the final Freshman Preview in late August. For more information on the required English Language Courses, contact the English Language Center at 757-683-4424 or elc@odu.edu.

New international students with 24 or more transfer credit hours who have fulfilled the TOEFL requirements and already live in the United States may attend Transfer or Midyear Preview.
