Are you curious about what classes you might take during your first semester?
Below you'll find sample schedules for each major (listed alphabetically; if you're still exploring majors, see 'undecided'). Please keep in mind that these are samples only and don't reflect current class availability. You'll find more class options on the curriculum sheet for your major, and you'll learn more from your academic advisor at Preview.
If you are considering a double-major, please select one for Preview. While there, speak with your academic advisor, who can help you find classes from both areas.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Pre-Requisites
If the course is marked with an asterisk ( * ), it means that the course has pre-requisites you must fulfill before registering.
Writing Pre-Requisites
A prerequisite to take English 110 is a score of '3' on the Writing Sample Placement Test (WSPT). If you receive a '1' on the WSPT, you must take General Studies 050 before English 110. Another option is to meet with a staff member from Academic Skills to review your WSPT and then retake it.
Math Pre-Requisites
Math placement is based on transfer credit or your score on the SAT or ACT score (see the chart below). You can challenge your math placement by taking our COMPASS math placement test before Preview (recommended) or on that day.

AP, IB, and Dual Enrollment
If you are expecting credit for any courses, please mention it to your academic advisor at Preview. We can help you avoid taking a class twice.
Honors College
If you've applied and been accepted into the Honors College, let your academic advisor know at Preview. Some of the suggested courses may be offered with an honors designation.
HOW TO READ THE SAMPLE SCHEDULES
The classes are listed by abbreviation (ex. English Composition is ENGL 110C). Please visit our online catalog to click on the abbreviation and learn about the course. Freshmen generally take 12-15 credits during the first semester (or 4-5 courses).
