Pending Graduation
Students who are graduating at the end of the current term will have a hold that prevents further registration.

  • If you still need to take courses to complete program requirements, e-mail graduate@odu.edu to notify the University Registrar of your new graduation term and to request that the hold be lifted.
  • If you wish to continue taking classes after you graduate, you must be readmitted as a degree-seeking or non-degree student. Once you have been admitted to a new degree program, or have been admitted to take courses as a non-degree student following graduation, the hold will be removed. If the hold remains after you have been admitted, e-mail register@odu.edu for assistance.

No Registration Time Ticket (this is not a hold, but does prevent registration during pre-registration only until such time as the student is eligible to register). Admitted students without time tickets may be eligible to register once open registration starts.
Only degree-seeking students registered for the current term are eligible to receive time tickets. See the information on Time Ticketing.
