Climate Change - Sea Level Rise Initiative

Facilitating faculty engagement in Climate Change and Sea Level Rise research is a priority of Old Dominion University. Our goal is to make ODU a recognized leader in this area in order to address the challenges that will significantly affect not only the Hampton Roads region but also the country and the world. To achieve this goal, we seek to strengthen relationships among faculty, colleges, centers and departments working in and across disciplines that address Climate Change and Sea Level Rise impacts.

In an effort to promote and support faculty interested in forming teams to address Climate Change and Sea Level Rise issues facing a metropolitan environment, the Office of Research accepted proposals for short-term seed funding in March 2011.  There are four groups that received funding, supported in part by the Perry Fund for the Study of Critical Issues.
