Multidisciplinary Seed Funding Program
The 2012 Call for Proposals was round seven of the program Dr. Mohammad Karim, Vice President for Research, initiated in 2005. Six research teams involving 23 faculty members at Old Dominion University, two collaborators from Eastern Virginia Medical School and one collaborator from the National University of Singapore shared over $390,000 in multidisciplinary seed funding awarded by the ODU Office of Research in the 2012 competition.
Purpose
The goal of MSF is to support and promote growth of projects that are multidisciplinary, involve areas relevant to institutional research priority, and build teams with serious prospects to attract additional research dollars to ODU.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are tenure-track faculty, tenured faculty and research professors at Old Dominion University who have not previously served as a paid PI or Co-PI on a Multidisciplinary Seed Funding project.
Award
Total budget requests per team may not exceed $50,000. The research period is January 1 - December 31.
Proposal Submission Deadline
