PARKING INFORMATION

To maintain and provide security to this campus, Virginia Beach Higher Education Center is decal controlled. All students, faculty, and staff must display either a current Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University, or Virginia Beach Higher Education Center parking decal to park. Students and faculty in classes Friday evenings (after 4pm) and Saturdays are not required to display a permit.

Daily rate permits are available for $7 and can be purchased in bulk.  Parking meters are located in Lots 1, 2, (one hour limit) and 3 (two hour limit). The fee is $.50 per 30 minutes.

Office hours for Parking Services, Room 167, are:

• Monday through Thursday, 9am - 7pm
• Friday, 8am - 4pm
• Closed weekends and holidays 

Semester Break (December 19 - 22, 2011; January 3 - 6, 2012), Spring Break, Semester Break (May 7 - 11, 2012), and Summer Hours (beginning July 5, 2012):

• Monday through Thursday, 8am - 5pm
• Friday, 8am - 4pm 
• Closed weekends and holidays

All special events must be arranged in advance, and parking will be designated in Lot 3 (signs will be posted). Guest passes are not needed for Special Events designated parking. However, guests (i.e. speakers, visitors, and maintenance personnel) must obtain a Visitor Pass to park. This flyer offers additional information for Lot 3 parking restrictions.

Parking Services has added a new payment feature to its website.  Citations can be paid online at www.odu.edu/parking.  This offers customers the convenience of paying parking tickets over a secure website with a Visa or MasterCard.
