Violinist Pavel Ilyashov has been enthusiastically applauded throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas for his performances as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.  The Miami Herald described his playing as a "breathtaking display of virtuosity and rhapsodic expression."  Ilyashov has performed with YoYo Ma, Jaime Laredo, Paquito D'Rivera and other internationally acclaimed musicians.

His performances have been broadcast on CBS, ABC, PBS, and the popular radio program Performance Today.  Ilyashov is a full time member of the Virginia Symphony and substitute violinist with the Philadelphia and Chicago Symphony Orchestras.
