The ODU Wind Ensemble performance

April 20, 7:30 p.m.  ODU Wind Ensemble, University Theatre


The ODU Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Dennis Zeisler, is the premiere auditioned wind group at Old Dominion University.  Fifty-five undergraduate and graduate students, primarily from music but also other programs throughout the university, comprise the ensemble.   The program Includes works by Maslanka, Wood, Grainger, Ostrling, DeLuca, and Sochinski and Boyson  and is free and open to the public.

Pete Echols, 2011 Concerto winner, will be featured as Euphonium Soloist. This concert will also honor Dr. Alfred Townsend who is retiring in May.  Dr. Townsend is the F. Ludwig Diehn Endowed Chair in Instrumental Music Education. For further information please call 683-4061.
