Conference: Transatlantic Solutions to Sea Level Rise Adaptation:  Moving Beyond the Threat.  October 2013.  Conference bringing European and American experts together to discuss the technical, economic, social, and political issues connected with adapting to rising sea levels.  Provided the basis to establish the Mitigation and Adaptation Research Institute, ODU.  My contributions:

  • Member of the planning committee.
  • Served as chair of the panel, "Political, Psychological, Health, and Ethical Responses to Sea Level Rise," one of five theme panels
  • Gave a presentation on the politics of climate change
  • Served as moderator for one of several tables of experts to facilitate discussion.
