Final Review
Purpose
The purpose
of this class is to prepare you to complete the final paper which is due
this Friday at 6pm.
Activity
We will not meet at our respective sites. However fulfilling the peer review will count as your attendence.
During tonight's class we will work on accomplishing two tasks: 1) addressing questions about the final paper and, 2) mandatory peer review.
Addressing Questions
The instructor will be in his office during the normal class time. Use this opportunity to pose questions to the instructor by...
- posting questions to the Discussion Board in Blackboard
- emailing him (kdepew@odu.edu)
- call him (757.863.4019)
Any of these methods can be used to contact the instructor between now and the time that the final paper is due.
Mandatory Peer Review
For the final paper, all students will participate in a peer review.
- Compose a draft of your paper no later than 5pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2005.
- In the pairs listed below, you will use Blackboard to email a copy of your paper to your partner.

- Once you receive a paper, use the peer review instructions to guide how you approach to reviewing the text. After you have reviewed the text and composed a 250-350 word email to your partner; be sure you cc the instructor so that you get credit for your work.
- Your
review is due by the end of class on December 6th. If you and your partner
can coordinate to complete this assignment prior to the class period
on Tuesday, you are encouraged to do so.
- Any individual who does not submit a paper to her/his respective partner will have five points subtracted from their process grade. Likewise, if you do not give your peer feedback on her/his paper, you will be deducted (an additional) five points.
- If you do not receive a paper by 5pm on Tuesday, December 6th, inform the instructor immediately.
