Rhetoric
of PowerPoint
Purpose
Many digital
rhetors have already incorporated slideware–particularly Microsoft's
PowerPoint–programs into their writing repertoire. While they may
know how to produce a slide show, the purpose of today's class is to offer
strategies for composing a show geared towards a specific purpose and
a specific audience.
Some of
the discussion will be focused specifically on the PowerPoint show you
will create for this class, but other parts will provide suggestions for
shows that you also verbally present.

This is your opportunity to ask questions about the poster session and the final portfolio.
The Rhetoric of PowerPoint
The instructor will present a PowerPoint presentation on how to compose an effective slideware presentation. Likewise he will present instructions on how to execute some obscure functions in PowerPoint.
Workshop
The rest of the class will be used to give you an opportunity to work on your web sites.
