Start the experience we cross over the river Thames bridge; every time I go to London I can’t wait to see the riverside and something about the history of that area makes me realize just how young our nation is. Going on to slide two is the Big Albert memorial at Hyde Park. More commonly known as big Al a statue standing 176 feet and took over ten years to complete represents the late prince Albert who actually died of typhoid in 1861. Big Al is a great statue of him but not the greatest man in history of London.

The most of the group went to the London Eye over the River Thame. This was my second time on the eye and each time is unique experience. The first time I went up there it was in the middle of the day and it was such a view and to think that London was nearly flattened by bombs against the Nazi party. This time was a night ride and it was also everyone else’s first time in London. It was nice to see the others when few of them overcame their fears

My idea of theatre starts with one man his name was William Shakespeare. I was excited to get to see inside the National Globe Theatre, which was remolded after the original all the way to the thatch roof and outdoor seating.

After being their matter of days we got to take a train to Hogwarts. Not the Hogwarts express but a train to the Harry Potter Studios their we got to enter the magical world of harry potter. The tour starts in with a brief film and some build up of anticipation the curtains spread open and the great doors and right under the spell of the great hall. While just then two lucky “students” open these great door and you are in a full hot set of the great hall. Upon entering a warehouse that makes area 51 look small, we went off to the incredible collection of studio sets and movie props. The Sheer amount of collection would require a Hermione sized bag to fit a quarter of it in.  Then we stopped for a quick butter beer and a stone some quick pictures at potters house, hagrid’s bike and some stone chess pieces we went into another door. This door led into the Creatures Lair of Harry potter here all the masks and most recognized creatures where on display to see how they where made and functioned. Then ending the studio tour with a grand model of Hogwarts at its entirety, everything from the great lake to the sky top of the castle.

BBC Studio
One of my favorite days would be when we got a tour at the BBC Studio. One of my favorite things about the BBC Studios was that they where some special items at the lobby. Just happened to be one of my favorite show “DR. Who” Including the sworn enemy of all doctors and companions a Dalek unfortunately for it the Time and Relative Dimension In Space or to all the Whooivan the TARDIS was as always right around the corner. Which I tried to steal but it was locked. To continue the amazing tour we had a breaking news report which changed the tour to a once a lifetime opportunity. Thanks to our guides husband being a big shot their, and a well known and had extreme views and union connections. Got a tour of the local “hip” radio station. At the end of the tour we had to give our companion/visitor pass.

Another day we left to London and went to Stonehenge. I have seen many pictures and seen it on a lot of films but did not do justice. Out of the middle of nowhere are huge rocks positioned in an planned circle. While I was there I happen to catch a glimpse of the TARDIS in air. So there are aliens out I just happen to catch a TimeLord while landing.

Following Stonehenge our group went to the Roman Bath, which is a beautiful city. The people of bath where so kind and generous that it was hard only to spent a couple of hours in that town. I will defiantly stop back thru their next time I am in the UK. Which after this trip I want to do a semester abroad!!!

One of the unexpected things that we did that I thought I would not enjoy was Afternoon Tea at the Kensington. Turns out it was different than I thought. The snack trey was amazing and so much food. The tea was very relaxing and was different than I had planned. The view was incredible landscape everything from “big ben tower” to the London eye in the horizon. Another opportunity that if I have the chance I will do it again.

One of our free nights we took the tube to the Ice bar. The group got a transportation pass for our visit. The Ice Bar is made of completely ice from the bar, to the walls, to the seats. In order to stay alive in there that gave us a warmed parka complete with gloves. Another Tour we had was a theatrical performance in its complete with actors and staged ghost tunnel. I enjoyed but caught on to all extra details early but still found it amusing. While I was out at Stonehenge sheep surrounded me and rolling fields it was like something from a movie.
