Near Winton, Gates County, North Carolina. 19 October 2006. Small Phoradendron flavescens (mistletoe). This ash is not a common host of the parasite.

Near Winton, Gates County, Virginia. 19 October 2006. The narrow samaras are Fraxinus pennsylvanica, the wider are F. caroliniana. Both are common at this site near the boat landing.
