Paper Prewrite 3
Purpose
To give you
the opportunity to do a structured freewrite and get feedback on your
preliminary thinking for the short analysis paper.
Instructions
Read
through the instructions for the short
analysis papers. Also read through the feedback I gave you
on your last prewrite exercise and your first paper.
In
250 words, start writing the paper you will submit. The parameters for
this exercise include...
- write
250 words
- make
an argument; this argument can be your overall thesis or it can be a
supporting claim that you are proving
- make
this selection cohesive; it should be clear to your audience how the
submitted selection holds together. You may respond to this parameter
by...
-
developing an outline for the overall paper
- writing
an excerpt of your paper (such as, the first page, a paragraph you
suspect will be problematic)
- describing
how you are going to write the paper, like a proposal
In
any case you should briefly describe at the beginning of the submission
or in the subject line which of these three the instructor will be reading.
Submit
your work prior to class (7 pm) in the body of an email addressed to the
instructor.
