Purpose
The purposes of this memo are...
- To introduce yourself to your peers who you will be
working with throughout the semester.
- To demonstrate an ability to send and receive attached
documents through e-mail.
- To demonstrate your ability to draft a memo.
Instructions
The introductory memo should have two parts.
Who
Are You? You will introduce yourself,
focusing on your major, year of study, employment/internships/co-ops
and any other interests relavant to the class.
Your
Expertise Explain to your peers what
knowledge and expertise you have about writing that you can bring to
group projects. This should include previous writing and professional
writing experiences, expertise with various writing technologies.
Grading
Criteria
- Due on Thursday,
January 17, 2002 as an attachment to the the
instructor.
The instructor will
be looking for...
- how well you
sell your abilities to your peers, consider this to be practice for
a cover letter,
- how well you
follow the guidelines of a memo.
