Dr.
Reed maintains a research agenda focused on curriculum research and
development. This agenda has included research on technical curriculum (i.e.
VisPort, Modeling and Simulation, and Bioengineering) as well as research on
pedagogical curriculum materials (i.e. U.S. Army Basic Instructor Course,
distance learning, and ethics in technology education). Dr. Reed has a
consistent publication record that includes journal articles, books, book chapters,
and other publications (i.e. scholarly book reviews, book contributions,
curriculum materials, and reports). One significant point of research is the
United States Patent (7,003,823 B1) in
which he conducted the research, drew the illustrations, and wrote the narrative.
Dr. Reed shares his research through consistent international and national
publications, presentations, and consulting work. He has been invited to
present and attend conferences and meetings throughout North America, Europe,
Australia, and South Africa. Dr. Reed received the Silvius-Wolansky Outstanding Publication Award in 2003 from the
Council on Technology and Engineering Teacher Education (CTETE) for his
research documenting graduate theses and dissertations back to 1892. A
