Graduate Student

Feng Ding joined the Xu Group in August of 2008 as a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Science in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He graduated from Soochow University, P.R.China in June of 2001 with his B.S. in Biotechnology.

His research project is focused on studying the mechanisms of ABC multidrug resistance transporters, which has received more and more attention during the past years. With the aim of understanding exactly how transporters work to efflux administered substrates (drug), we hope to combat this mechanism one day. This goal will bring hope to the global use of drug therapy and the big problem of multi-drug resistance bacteria due to their transporters.
