Tests and Assignments
Tests
Tests will consist of short answers, essays, problems, and multiple-choice questions. Students are expected to take exams during the regularly scheduled class. If a student is unable to take a test and has been given prior permission to miss the exam then the weight for the two remaining tests will be 25% each for a total of 50% and the final will count 40%. There are no makeups for any of the exams.

Assignments
Problems will be assigned during the semester. Students are expected to know how to do similar problems for exams. Homework will be collected and it is due by the beginning of class. I will be going over homework in the beginning of class, so late homework will not be accepted. If you are going to miss a class then fax or send by email the homework before the start of class.
On the homework, I am looking for effort. If you show me sufficient effort on all the problems you will get full credit for the assignment. Note that leaving a question blank is not sufficient effort.
Students should make a copy of their homework. I will receive one copy before class and you will have the original to check/correct your answers during class.
