Computational modeling and medical image analysis for tumor phenotype extraction, intersection of bioinformatics and medical image analysis (specifically, combining genotype and phenotype in brain tumor analysis), distortion-invariant automatic target recognition (ATR), biologically inspired ATR, reinforcement learning in dynamic systems (specifically in face recognition), probabilistic vision for robotics, emotion detection from speech and discourse, sensor signal acquisition and modeling, and optical computing and interconnection.
