Research Opportunities in the MEMS Area
Positions Doctoral Graduate Research Assistantship
Micro Devices & Micromechanics Lab
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Old Dominion University
Location Norfolk, Virginia
Description
The Micro Devices & Micromechanics Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Old Dominion University has one opening for doctoral graduate research assistantship to conduct research in the MEMS (Micro-Electrical-Mechanical System) area for biomedical, wireless communications, and a variety of sensing applications. The research will involve analytical, numerical, and experimental study of micromechanics and biomechanics
Requirement
M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering with background in analog circuit design or mixed-signal circuit design;
This position is available Spring 2011. The applications are open until filled.
Micro Devices & Micromechanics Laboratory (MDML)
Dr. Hao’s research focuses on the development of micro devices for various applications, such as bio/chemical sensing, and inertial sensing, and the analytical and experimental study of micromechanics (e.g., energy loss mechanisms) that is critical for the performance of micro devices. The research employs state-of-the-art design tools, and testing and characterization facilities.
To apply, send a resume (including GPAs, GRE scores, and a list of references) to Prof. Hao at: zlhao@odu.edu.
