Thank you for visiting my webpage. I am Eminent Scholar and Professor of Psychology at Old Dominion University. Along with four colleagues, I contribute to the Doctoral  Program in I/O Psychology. My research focuses on career development issues, especially barriers faced by women and minorities, developmental relationships at work, and the work-family interface.

I received my doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. My research has been supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration, NASA, and the National Science Foundation. I presently serve on the editorial boards of Journal of Applied PsychologyJournal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, Career Development Quarterly, and Journal of Business and Psychology. I am the former editor of The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist (TIP). Photography is a favorite hobby, and I'm delighted to have had two of my photographs appear as TIP covers.

My work reflects a commitment to collaboration, boundary spanning, and multi-disciplinary research.

If you have any questions about my research or ODU's I/O program, I hope you will send me an email.
