ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA

The College has 150 full-time employees, including 105 teaching faculty; over 3,000 students (app. 70% undergraduate and 30% graduate).  9 Undergraduate programs, 10 Master's programs, and 7 Doctoral programs.  In FY 2010, total expenditure by all units affiliated with the College exceeded $40M, of which 65% was resourced by the sponsored programs.  Engineering endowment exceeds $28M and there are 10 endowed chairs or named professorships.

Around 500 students in freshman and sophomore years of engineering and engineering technology; offers several courses common to all undergraduates; advising, mentoring, peer mentoring and tutoring services; manages about 12 sections of "Explore Engineering and Technology" courses per year; each semester-long course consists of three modules of team projects from different engineering disciplines.
