OBJECTIVES

During this course, the student should.....

1. have early and varied experiences in prek-3 school settings, which will lead to a successful student teaching experience;
2. observe the pupil's behavior as related to child growth and development;
3. become familiar with classroom and school operating procedures;
4. become sensitive to similarities and differences between one's self and individuals of different backgrounds;
5. observe the general qualities and responsibilities of effective teachers;
6. observe and implement a variety of methods and techniques of teaching;
7. identify and use a variety of instructional materials.
