Course Policies

Attendance. It is important to come to class. Keep me informed, especially for extended absences since you may miss a structured experience.

Late work. Work that is turned in anytime after a deadline is late and adjustments to the assignment's grade will be made to compensate for the additional time taken to complete the assignment. That is, 1 half-letter grade will be deducted for each 24-hour period a paper is late. This penalty can be waived by the instructor in the event of circumstances beyond a student's control. 

Academic dishonesty.  All must abide by the university Honor Code.  Failure to do so for a given assignment will result in at least a failing grade for that assignment and   notification sent to the University Hearing Officer.

Privacy. It has been my experience that students may at times reveal personal information about themselves as they     encounter course materials and experiences. It is important for you to realize that we all have a right to our privacy. All assignments for this course are structured so that no disclosure of personal information need occur. Any personal disclosures willingly made by those in the course must

be treated with respect and in confidence by all. Posting of exam results and final grades to the course website is with students permission only.

Incompletes. An incomplete will be given only under very serious circumstances. See Instructor.

End of Course Assessment. Students are encouraged to complete the online course evaluation forms at the close fo the term.
